Mechanical Fitter – Roles and Responsibilities

Primary Role

To assemble and fit mechanical components, structures, and systems in machines and production equipment.

Key Responsibilities

 Assembly & Fitting o Assemble machine frames, moving assemblies, gearboxes, and other mechanical components.

o Fit parts using hand tools, torque wrenches, and alignment instruments.

o Perform precision alignment of rotating equipment (e.g., shafts, pulleys).

 Maintenance & Repairs o Carry out routine mechanical maintenance and servicing.

o Diagnose mechanical issues like wear, misalignment, or vibrations and rectify them.

o Dismantle and reassemble equipment during overhauls.

 Installation o Install mechanical assemblies at site or in the factory as per layout.

o Work with cranes, jacks,



or rigging equipment for heavy machinery installation.

 Quality & Safety o Verify tolerances and fitment accuracy as per engineering drawings.

o Ensure proper lubrication and fastening of components.

o Adhere to mechanical safety standards during handling and assembly.

 Collaboration o Work closely with hydraulic, electrical, and assembly teams during integration.

o Provide input to design or maintenance teams on recurring issues or improvements.

Job Types: Full time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
