Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad for a Marketing Merchant supporting an export-oriented towel plant. The role involves managing international customer accounts, handling inquiries, preparing quotations, and coordinating order confirmations for terry towel products.

The Marketing

Merchant will track shipments, follow up on documentation, and liaise with production, logistics, and quality teams to meet delivery schedules and customer specifications. Daily responsibilities include market research on export destinations, identifying new buyers, participating in price negotiations, and maintaining accurate records of contracts and communications. The role also includes monitoring competitor activity, supporting trade shows or buyer meetings, and contributing to strategies for expanding global sales channels.

Qualifications

- Strong Marketing Merchant and sales skills for Home Textile Bath (Towel),



including customer relationship management and negotiation abilities.
- Knowledge of Towel Category in Textiles, with strong knowledge base of Product Development, Sample review and Submission.
- Strict Adherence to Time Lines to get Pre Sale Order Activities done, Sample/Shade Approvals and punching it in ERP.
- Conducting Specs Meeting, Order Hand Over with Complete Product, Packaging, Quality and Delivery Clarity.
- Chasing Production at different levels to meet TNAs.
- Co-ordinate for PP Samples, Testing Samples and TOP Samples and Approvals from testing agencies.
- Co-ordinate for Inline, mid line, final inspections & Follow Ups with Buyers.
- Knowledge of international trade practices, export documentation, incoterms, and basic logistics coordination.
- Knowledge of Product Costing shall be added advantage.
- Good communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in written and spoken English; additional foreign languages are an advantage.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and documentation.
- Comfort using MS Office, email, and basic ERP or order-management systems to manage customer and shipment data.
- Experience in home textiles, terry towels, or related manufacturing and export environments is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, International Trade, Textile Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
