Role & Responsibilities :

The India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) is looking for a dynamic Manager (Technology) who will be instrumental in optimizing the time, information flow, and decision-making processes to ensure the overall productivity of the Program for Development of Semiconductor & Manufacturing Ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deep understanding of the semiconductor ecosystem including, semiconductor products; semiconductor manufacturing; semiconductor research, global supply chain-Including Chemicals, Raw materials, Equipment, Software etc.
- Knowledge of semiconductor technology trends in design, manufacturing, equipment, and materials areas.
- Ability to address operational challenges of organizations and businesses who want to set up their design or manufacturing operations in India.
- Should be a strategic thinker with strong business acumen, an effective communicator, and an expert in technological development.
- Help in formulating a comprehensive long-term technology roadmap under the guidance of the leadership for developing sustainable semiconductor & display manufacturing facilities and semiconductor design eco-system in the country in consultation with the Government ministries/ departments/ agencies, industry, and academia.
- Be a part in formulating the technological agenda for meetings, technology budget, and investments to align the company with their vision for its technical needs.
- Ensuring technical resources are aligned with the company's short and long-term needs.
- Assisting the team in creating timelines for the development and deployment of all technological services.
- Assisting the team with technology budgets, reports, PPTs and respective time frames.
- Ensuring all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards.
- Assist in enabling cutting-edge research in the semiconductor and display industry.

Eligibility Criteria: (A) Essential Qualifications (EQ):

1. Masters degree in Engineering, Technology,



or Science (such as M. Tech., M.E., M.Sc., or equivalent) or allied disciplines from a recognized University or Institute;

OR
1. Bachelors degree in Engineering, Technology, or Science (such as B.E., B. Tech., B.Sc., or equivalent) or allied disciplines from a recognized University.

(B) Desirable Qualifications (DQ):

1. Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Engineering, Technology, or Science, or allied disciplines from a recognized University or Institute.
2. Experience in the field of Semiconductor Fab / Display Fab / Compound Semiconductors/ATMP/OSAT/manufacturing equipment/specialty chemicals/ gases/ materials and supply-chain ecosystem or in any other relevant field.
3. Experience in Government, PSU, autonomous bodies or public-sector will be preferred.

(C) Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience (post EQ) for Bachelors degree OR 08 years of experience (post EQ) for Master’s degree OR 05 years of experience (post EQ) for Doctorate (Ph.D.) degree.

Ph.D experience may be considered as relevant work experience, depending on the field of study and its relevance to the role.

Relaxation in the prescribed experience may be considered for candidates from top-ranking Colleges/Universities (Bachelor’s/Master’s/Ph.D.) in the relevant discipline, as per NIRF 2025 Ranking or the latest available ranking.

Must have positive knowledge of semiconductor technology trends in design, manufacturing, equipment, and materials areas.

Understanding of the semiconductor ecosystem including: Semiconductor products o Semiconductor manufacturing o Semiconductor Research o Global supply chain-Including Chemicals, Raw materials, Equipment, Software etc.

Ability to address technology challenges of the organizations and businesses (Global & Domestic) who want to set-up their design or manufacturing operations in India.

Experience in working with academic and research organizations with a focus on long term research in different aspects of semiconductors for achieving long term self-sufficiency.
