About the Role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director and the CFO, you will be the financial and analytical backbone of the MD's office. You will lead investor relations, improve the company's management information systems, evaluate strategic projects and investments, and turn financial insight into operational decisions. You will work closely with the CFO, business unit heads and plant leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Investor Relations ● Lead the quarterly earnings cycle: investor presentations, earnings call preparation, and analyst Q&A; briefs for the MD and CFO.

● Build and maintain relationships with analysts, institutional investors and fund managers; manage the investor meeting calendar and conference participation.

● Track market perception, analyst estimates and peer valuations, and advise leadership on positioning.

● Coordinate with the Company Secretary and CFO on disclosures.

MIS, Planning and Performance Management

● Design and own the MIS framework: monthly performance packs, KPI dashboards and variance analysis across verticals, plants and subsidiaries.

● Lead the annual operating plan and rolling forecasts, building the basis for any guidance the company chooses to give.

● Prepare board and committee materials with clear, decision-oriented analysis.

Projects and Capital Allocation

● Build business cases for capex, capacity expansion, current products and market entry.

● Track financial progress of strategic projects against approved budgets and timelines; run post-investment reviews.

● Support evaluation of acquisitions, JVs and strategic partnerships, including due diligence.

Operational Improvement and Analysis

● Analyse product, customer and plant-level profitability to identify margin levers.

● Drive working capital improvement across receivables, inventory and payables with operations and sales teams.





● Run cost-reduction and pricing analyses; quantify and track the financial impact of improvement initiatives.

● Deliver ad-hoc strategic analyses for the MD, from competitive benchmarking to scenario modelling.

Required Qualifications

● CA, or an MBA in Finance from a reputed institute. ● Strong financial modelling: three-statement models, DCF, capex appraisal, and scenario analysis.

● Experience building MIS and performance-management frameworks.

● Excellent communication — able to build an investor deck and defend it in the room.

● High integrity and discretion with price-sensitive information.

Preferred Candidate Profile

● 5–8 years in FP&A;, corporate finance, strategic finance, or investor relations, preferably in manufacturing or industrial companies. ● Both CA and MBA, or CFA progress.

● IR experience at a listed company, or sell-side/buy-side research covering capital goods or industrials.

● Experience with IPO readiness or the first years after listing.

● Exposure to consolidated reporting across subsidiaries, JVs and international entities.

● Engineering undergraduate degree, or strong comfort with technical and manufacturing businesses.

● Thinks like an investor and acts like an operator — equally at ease explaining a margin bridge to a fund manager and walking a plant head through working capital data, with rigour, clarity and sound judgment.
