Job Summary The Mechanical Maintenance Manager will be responsible for leading and managing mechanical maintenance activities across chemical and explosive processing plants. The role involves ensuring safe, reliable, and effective operation of equipment, driving maintenance excellence, and leading a large maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead mechanical maintenance operations for chemical process plants and explosive handling facilities, including TNT, PETN, HMX, cast boosters, detonators, and fuses.
- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities to ensure high plant availability and safety.
- Handle maintenance of corrosive and hazardous chemical systems, including nitric acid, acetic acid, oleum, and alkali-based processes.
- Manage maintenance of rotating and static equipment such as pumps, agitators, reactors, pressure filters,



hydraulic power packs, distillation columns, chillers, compressors, HVAC systems, and high-speed packing machines.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Plan and execute plant shutdowns, overhauls, and turnarounds within defined timelines and budgets.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a maintenance team of approximately 50 personnel.
- Implement and drive TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee spare parts management, inventory control, and coordination with stores.
- Drive energy conservation initiatives and cost optimization programs.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory requirements, and company policies.
- Monitor and maintain KRA/KPI targets related to maintenance performance, safety, and cost control.
