Looking for: Economist/Econometrician/Statistician (Manager)

Location: Delhi NCR

Qualification: Master’s in Economics, Econometrics, Statistics, Public Policy, Education, Development Economics, or a related quantitative discipline. PhD in a quantitative discipline is desirable but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead quantitative evaluation design and analysis across education and FLN studies, with a focus on rigorous causal inference.
- Develop and implement quasi-experimental designs , including matching and difference-in-differences approaches.
- Undertake longitudinal and learning outcome analyses , including learning gains, retention, and learning decay.
- Support sampling, power calculations, data analysis, and development of reproducible analytical workflows.




- Translate research questions into appropriate econometric models and communicate findings through reports, presentations, and research outputs.
- Work closely with research and programme teams to strengthen the analytical rigour and quality of evaluations.

Key Technical Expertise:

Required:

- Strong knowledge of econometrics and causal inference , including PSM, CEM, DiD and fixed-effects models .
- Strong understanding of sampling, power calculations, and evaluation design.
- Proficiency in Stata is required.

Desirable:

- Education/FLN experience is desirable but not essential if the candidate has strong evaluation expertise.
- Experience with longitudinal/panel data, multilevel models, and learning decay/retention analysis .
- Familiarity with education-specific learning metrics such as effect sizes, EYOS, and LAYS .
- Experience with dosage-response, heterogeneity, and intervention/component analysis .
- Knowledge of R/Python is an advantage.
