Job Summary:

The individual will lead end-to-end research coverage of the Energy &

- Power sector, developing deep insights into industry structure, regulatory developments, project economics and emerging business models. The role will involve evaluating companies across the power value chain, with a particular focus on unlisted and pre-IPO businesses, and providing sector expertise for company assessment, due diligence and IPO execution assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work on Energy &
- Power sector coverage

, including Power Generation, Transmission, Distribution, Renewable Energy, Solar, Wind, Hydro, Thermal Power, Power Equipment, Energy Storage and emerging energy businesses.

- Conduct detailed industry and sector research covering market structure, demand-supply dynamics, capacity additions, tariffs, regulations, government policies, competitive landscape and sector-specific operating metrics.

- Identify and analyse unlisted, pre-IPO and growth-stage companies, evaluating their business models, project pipeline, financial performance, asset base, operational capabilities, market position and growth potential.

- Prepare detailed company research, sector reports, industry studies, financial analysis, valuation models, peer benchmarking and business assessments.





- Conduct primary research and business due diligence through management interactions, industry experts, customers, suppliers, project stakeholders and other relevant market participants.

- Support IPO execution and transaction activities through industry due diligence, business analysis, peer comparison, DRHP/RHP review and preparation of sector-specific inputs and transaction materials.

- Build and continuously maintain an Energy &

- Power sector intelligence database

, tracking companies, projects, capacity additions, regulatory developments, industry transactions, emerging technologies and potential capital-market opportunities.

Critical Requirements:

- 5+ years of relevant experience in Energy &
- Power Equity Research, Industry Research, Investment Banking, Merchant Banking, Consulting or a related research function.

- Robust hands-on experience covering the Energy &

- Power sector

, with the ability to independently own the complete sector.

- Strong understanding of Power Generation, Transmission, Distribution, Renewable Energy and Energy Infrastructure, along with emerging areas such as storage and grid technologies.
