Position Overview

The Manager - Accounts plays a critical role within the Record-to-Report (R2R) function, responsible for managing and ensuring compliance with regulations applicable to Blue Dart Express Limited. The role supports accurate accounting, insurance and banking activities and regulatory compliance in alignment with Insurance and Banking laws and listed company requirements.

Operating within a complex, multi-location logistics and aviation-enabled distribution environment, the role ensures accuracy in insurance and banking compliance and reporting. The incumbent will work closely with the Head –

- Treasury to ensure timely filings and settlement of insurance claims and reporting compliance of banking activities and strong governance.

Job Purpose

To manage accounting, insurance and banking activities, including the organization's insurance portfolio, identify and mitigate business risks through appropriate insurance coverage, coordinate with insurers and brokers, and ensure timely claims settlement while optimizing insurance costs and compliance. Ensure banking compliance and overall review and verification of banking activities, with accuracy in the books of accounts relating to banking and insurance.

Insurance Program Management





- Develop and implement the company's insurance strategy.
- Manage all corporate insurance policies including property, marine, liability, employee benefits etc., risk Assessment &
- Mitigation
- Conduct periodic risk assessments across business operations.
- Identify insurable and non-insurable risks.
- Work closely with finance, legal, operations, and compliance teams to minimize organizational risk exposure.
- Maintain a risk register and recommend insurance solutions.

Insurance Renewals &

- Negotiations

- Lead annual insurance renewal processes.
- Liaise with insurance brokers and insurance companies.
- Support in Negotiating premiums, terms, deductibles, and coverage conditions.
- Obtain competitive quotes and ensure cost optimization.

Claims Management

- Manage end-to-end insurance claims processes.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, surveyors, brokers, and insurers.
- Ensure timely claim submission, documentation, and settlement.
- Analyze claim trends and implement preventive measures.

Compliance &

- Governance

- Ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate insurance requirements.
- Maintain policy records and documentation.
- Ensure accurate provisions and exp booking on monthly basis.
- Support internal and external audits related to insurance matters.
- Prepare periodic insurance reports for management.

Stakeholder Management

- Act as the primary point of contact for all insurance-related matters.
- Build strong relationships with insurers, brokers, surveyors, and legal advisors.
- Provide insurance-related guidance to business teams.

Banking supervision and management

- Managing working capital facilities, investments, bank guarantees, and letters of credit.
- Coordinate documentation and compliance related to banking arrangements.
- Monitor covenant compliance and reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal policies.

- Supervise bank account opening, closures, and signatory updates.
- Review banking charges and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Ensure overall verification of banking portfolio.
- Participate in automation initiatives for Banking and Insurance and reporting.
- Leverage AI-enabled analytics for anomaly detection in transactions.
- Improve efficiency through digital dashboards and compliance trackers.

- Ensure accurate configuration in ERP systems.

- Ensure adherence to internal financial controls related to Insurance and Banking.

Qualifications &

- Experience:

Education

- Inter - Chartered Accountant / MBA preferred OR
- B COM/ M Com with strong Insurance and Banking exposure in corporates

Experience





- 5–8 years of relevant experience in Insurance and Banking for corporates.
- Experience in listed companies or large multi-location organizations preferred.
- Exposure to compliance of banking and Insurance.
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle or similar platforms).
- Familiarity with insurance and treasury automation tools and digital compliance frameworks is an advantage.
