To lead and manage the complete maintenance function of the plant, ensuring maximum availability and reliability of machines, equipment, electrical systems and utilities. The Maintenance Head will be responsible for preventive and breakdown maintenance, maintenance planning, spare management, safety, cost control and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities1. Maintenance Planning & Management

- Plan, manage and control all maintenance activities across the plant.
- Ensure maximum availability and reliability of production machines and equipment.
- Develop annual, monthly and daily maintenance plans.
- Monitor maintenance activities and ensure timely completion.
- Maintain proper maintenance records and documentation.

1. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all machines and equipment.
- Ensure timely servicing, inspection, lubrication and replacement of critical components.
- Identify potential equipment failures and take preventive corrective actions.
- Develop predictive maintenance practices wherever applicable.
- Monitor machine health and maintenance history.

1. Breakdown Maintenance

- Ensure quick response to machine breakdowns.
- Analyze breakdown causes and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Monitor breakdown frequency, downtime and repair time.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major and repeated breakdowns.
- Take necessary actions to minimize production loss due to equipment failure.

1. Electrical Maintenance

- Manage electrical maintenance of the plant, including machines, panels, wiring, lighting and electrical distribution systems.
- Ensure proper maintenance of transformers, DG sets, compressors and other electrical equipment.
- Monitor electrical safety and equipment condition.
- Coordinate with external agencies/electricians for specialized electrical work.
- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical safety requirements.

1. Mechanical & Utility Maintenance

- Manage mechanical maintenance of production equipment and utility systems.
- Ensure proper maintenance of compressors, pumps, cooling systems, ventilation systems and other utilities.




- Monitor critical utility equipment and ensure uninterrupted availability.
- Coordinate with vendors/service providers for specialized maintenance.

1. Machine & Equipment Management

- Maintain complete records of all plant machinery and equipment.
- Develop machine-wise maintenance history and checklists.
- Support installation and commissioning of current machines and equipment.
- Coordinate with suppliers during machine installation, servicing and warranty issues.
- Evaluate machine condition and recommend repair, replacement or modification when required.

1. Spare Parts Management

- Identify and maintain critical maintenance spares.
- Coordinate with Purchase and Stores for timely availability of spare parts.
- Maintain minimum and maximum stock levels for critical spares.
- Control unnecessary spare inventory and maintenance costs.
- Maintain proper records of spare consumption and usage.

1. AMC & Vendor Management

- Manage Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) for machines, equipment and utilities.
- Coordinate with external service providers and equipment suppliers.
- Evaluate vendor performance, service quality and response time.
- Ensure timely completion of AMC and service activities.
- Negotiate service terms and maintenance costs where required.

1. Safety & Compliance

- Ensure safe working practices during maintenance activities.
- Implement proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures wherever applicable.
- Ensure use of appropriate PPE during maintenance work.
- Coordinate with the EHS/Safety team regarding maintenance-related safety requirements.
- Ensure proper guarding, electrical safety and emergency systems.
- Participate in safety audits and take corrective actions.

1. Energy Management

- Monitor electricity and utility consumption.
- Identify opportunities for energy saving and efficiency improvement.




- Reduce unnecessary power, compressed air and utility losses.
- Support management in implementing energy-saving initiatives.

1. Maintenance Cost Control

- Prepare and control the maintenance budget.
- Monitor expenditure on spares, repairs, AMC and services.
- Identify opportunities to reduce maintenance costs without compromising safety or equipment reliability.
- Analyze recurring maintenance expenses and implement corrective measures.

1. Team Management

- Lead and supervise the Maintenance team.
- Allocate daily responsibilities and monitor performance.
- Train technicians and team members on proper maintenance practices and safety.
- Develop technical skills within the maintenance team.
- Ensure adequate manpower availability for critical maintenance activities.

1. Continuous Improvement

- Identify opportunities to improve machine reliability and productivity.
- Implement initiatives to reduce machine downtime and breakdown frequency.
- Support automation, modification and improvement projects.
- Promote preventive maintenance culture within the organization.
- Implement 5S, Kaizen, RCA and TPM-related practices wherever applicable.

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related Engineering field.
- Additional qualification in Maintenance Management / Operations will be an advantage.

Experience
- 10–15 years of relevant experience in plant maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing / engineering / fabrication industry.
- Experience in fabrication machinery, sheet metal machines, powder coating equipment, compressors, electrical systems and industrial utilities will be preferred.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
