Role & responsibilities

- Design and optimize mainframe workflows using COBOL, JCL, and Assembler for legacy systems.

- Manage file structures, copybooks, and utilities (SORT, IDCAMS) for efficient data handling.

- Administer schedulers such as CA7 and ControlM for batch job orchestration.

- Lead modernization initiatives by integrating mainframe data with AI/ML platforms.

- Develop agent workflows to automate tasks, integrate APIs, and enable intelligent orchestration.

- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to design hybrid solutions combining legacy systems with up-to-date data pipelines.

- Ensure data quality and lineage across mainframe and AI/ML environments.

- Provide SME guidance on performance tuning, troubleshooting, and modernization best practices.

- Document architecture, migration approaches, and operational procedures for longterm support.





- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical capability building within the team.
