Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Testing Engineer with robust expertise in Mainframe Manual Testing and exposure to automation frameworks. The candidate should have hands-on experience in testing mainframe applications, validating business processes, and ensuring high-quality deliverables in enterprise environments.

Mandatory Skills

Mainframe Manual Testing

JCL, COBOL, DB2

Test Case Design, Execution, and Defect Management

Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC

Experience in functional, integration, and regression testing

Good to Have Skills

Mainframe Automation using REXX

UI Automation using Java, Selenium, Cucumber

Six File Monitoring Automation using Python





API Automation using REST Assured

Exposure to CI/CD and Test Automation Frameworks

Responsibilities

Analyze business and functional requirements.

Design, develop, and execute test cases for Mainframe applications.

Perform functional, integration, system, and regression testing.

Identify, track, and report defects through closure.

Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables.

Contribute to automation initiatives and process improvements.

Prepare test execution reports and provide status updates.

Desired Candidate Profile

5–10 years of experience in Mainframe Testing.

Strong knowledge of JCL, COBOL, and DB2.

Experience working in Agile environments.

Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Exposure to automation technologies is an added advantage.

Primary Skill: Mainframe Manual Testing

Secondary Skills: JCL, COBOL, DB2, REXX, Selenium, Cucumber, Python, REST Assured.
