Job Title: Mac Production Artist / Prepress Specialist

About the Role

1Source BPO is hiring an experienced Mac Production Artist / Prepress Specialist to join a leading US-based commercial and specialty printer as a dedicated, full-time remote team member. You'll work directly with the client's production team, taking customer artwork all the way to press-ready. Every file you release becomes a plate, a die, or a press sheet, so precision and attention to detail are at the heart of this role.

What You'll Do

- Preflight and correct incoming artwork in Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat Pro, and Enfocus PitStop
- Build accurate ink separations, overprints, knockouts, and traps for each print process
- Set up files for special white, silver, and invisible ink printing
- Impose jobs in Kodak Prinergy Workshop and Preps, and prepare plates for offset, foil, letterpress, and engraving
- Impose and upload files to Canon and HP Indigo digital presses, and output film positives for screen and letterpress plates
- Order engraving, embossing, and foil plates from vendors and follow up to keep jobs on schedule
- Verify every job against its ticket (trim size,



stock, ink colors, quantity, process) before release
- Coordinate with production and customer service teams to resolve file issues and meet daily deadlines
- Maintain job documentation and vendor tracking in Word and Excel

What We're Looking For

- 3+ years of hands-on prepress experience in a commercial or specialty print environment
- Expert-level print-ready file setup, including spot and process color, separations, and trapping
- Hands-on experience with Kodak Prinergy Workshop and Preps
- Proven file preparation for offset, digital, and specialty processes (foil, letterpress, engraving, embossing, screen printing, special inks, film output)
- Fluency in a Mac-based production workflow
- A sharp eye for detail and the discipline to catch errors before they reach press
- Explicit written and spoken English for daily collaboration with a US team

Good to Have Adobe Photoshop, color management and proofing, experience with DFEs/RIPs for Canon and HP Indigo, variable data printing, and prior remote work with a US-based print or design team.
