We are seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented Line Lead to manage and elevate our assembly operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring our kitchen appliances are built to perfection, on schedule, and in compliance with global quality and safety standards.

Summary

As the Line Lead, you will oversee the daily operations of our kitchen appliance assembly line. You will lead a dedicated team of line operators, driving production targets, enforcing strict quality control (QC) and audit protocols, and implementing modern lean manufacturing methods. You will bridge line operations with quality management tools, shop-floor manufacturing software, and hardware equipment to maintain an efficient, safe, and zero-defect production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Line Management & Leadership

- Operational Execution: Lead day-to-day assembly line workflows for kitchen appliances, ensuring daily throughput, Cycle Time, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) targets are met.
- Team Guidance: Manage, train, and mentor a team of 10–25 line operators on standardized work instructions (SOPs), safety protocols, and proper tool handling.
- Workstation Balancing: Line-balance tasks to prevent bottlenecks,



maintain uniform workload distribution, and ensure smooth continuous flow.

Quality Control (QC) & Audits

- In-Line Quality Verification: Enforce strict Quality Control checks across critical assembly stages (e.g., electrical safety tests, leak checks, motor fitment, heating element calibration, and cosmetic inspections).
- Audit Execution: Conduct continuous process and product audits (5S audits, layered process audits, first-piece inspections) to ensure adherence to Solara Home standards and safety requirements (UL/CE/ISO standards).
- Defect Containment: Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using standard tools (5-Whys, Fishbone / Ishikawa diagrams, 8D reports) when defects arise, taking immediate containment and corrective action.

Manufacturing Software, Tools & Equipment

- Software Utilization: Leverage Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP - e.g., SAP/Oracle), and Quality Management Systems (QMS) to log production data, track defect Pareto charts, and update inventory states.
- Equipment Handling: Demonstrate working knowledge and oversee line maintenance for pneumatic/electric torque screwdrivers, automated testing jigs, hi-pot/electrical continuity testers, ultrasonic welders, and conveyor speed controls.
- Process Improvement: Apply Lean, 5S,



and Kaizen methodologies to minimize scrap rate, reduce rework, and eliminate wasteful practices across the line.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Experience: Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in a high-volume manufacturing or assembly environment, preferably from an Operations and Quality Assurance Function (small home appliances, consumer electronics, or automotive assembly preferred).
- Technical Quality Knowledge: Deep understanding of Quality Control methods, Statistical Process Control (SPC) concepts, Pokayoke (error-proofing), and formal Audit processes.
- Software & Digital Proficiency: Hands-on familiarity with shop-floor software systems (MES, QMS, ERP) and digital work instruction platforms.
- Tool & Equipment Expertise: Experienced with assembly line machinery, electric torque tools, electrical safety test equipment, and calibration gauges.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated capability in running root-cause problem solving and deploying preventive actions.
- Leadership & Communication: Strong interpersonal and team communication skills, with the capability to lead cross-cultural line operators effectively under high production demand.
- Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, or equivalent trade certifications with relevant years of hands-on experience.

Preferred Qualifications

- Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean Manufacturing Certification.
- Prior experience with heating elements, small motors, or food-contact grade materials and safety compliance.
