Role & responsibilities The Legal Recovery Officer will be responsible for managing delinquent accounts in Home Loan and Loan Against Property (LAP) portfolios. The role involves handling legal recovery processes, coordinating with legal teams, and ensuring timely resolution of non-performing assets (NPAs).
Preferred candidate profile
- Manage and monitor overdue accounts in Home Loan & LAP portfolio
- Initiate and handle legal recovery actions under applicable laws (SARFAESI, Sec 13(2), 13(4), etc.)
- Coordinate with empaneled advocates for legal proceedings and case follow-ups
- Track and reduce NPA levels through effective recovery strategies
- Handle possession, auction, and enforcement activities
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Prepare MIS reports on recovery performance and legal case status
- Negotiate settlements and closures with delinquent customers
Key Requirements:
- Graduation in Law / Any Graduate (LLB preferred)
- 26 years of experience in collections and legal recovery (Home Loan / LAP mandatory)
- Robust knowledge of SARFAESI Act and recovery procedures
