Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Legal Officer to manage endtoend legal operations across retail and recovery functions. The role involves handling litigation, property title checks, drafting legal documents, and supporting recovery processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and safeguarding the company’s legal rights.

Key Responsibilities

- Litigation & Recovery: Manage legal recoveries PAN India, file civil/criminal complaints, and attend court hearings.
- Legal Documentation: Draft, vet, and solidify agreements, contracts, NDAs, indemnity bonds, affidavits, and other legal documents.
- Property & Title Scrutiny: Conduct legal checks on property titles, valuations, and exceptions (missing documents, laminated papers, etc.).
- Fraud Prevention: Perform firstlevel document checks, risk analysis, and monitor fraudulent colleges, negative areas, and profiles.
- Court Representation: Regularly attend hearings, liaise with advocates and consultants, and draft replies to court actions.
- Compliance & Monitoring: Ensure adherence to RBI requirements, SARFAESI Act, IBC, and other regulatory frameworks.




- MIS & Tracking: Maintain trackers for case statuses and prepare MIS reports across locations.
- Training & Liaison: Provide structured training to internal teams and coordinate with customers and departments for legal reports.
- Vendor Management: Manage lawyer and vendor agreements and ensure timely delivery of legal services.

Skills Required

- Solid knowledge of Code of Civil Procedure, Code of Criminal Procedure, Indian Penal Code, Companies Act, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code (IBC), SARFAESI Act, Transfer of Property Act, Consumer Laws, Negotiable Instruments Act, Payments & Settlement Act, Arbitration & Mediation frameworks.
- Understanding of lending, mortgage, securitization, charge creation, and real estate laws.
- Handson experience in strategizing legal actions on loan accounts.
- Strong negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; team player and motivator.

Qualifications & Experience

- LLB/LLM from a leading university in India.
- 2–4years of relevant experience in BFSI or financial services sector.
- Proven track record in litigation, recovery, and legal documentation.
