nSchool for Skills: Allied Health Sciences - SFS ( a premier paramedical educational institution dedicated to nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals. SFS has 11 centres in India in 6 states (Meghalaya, West Bengal, Assam, MP, UP and Maharashtra), and is planning to double its annual capacity in next 2-3 years. 4 of its centres are set up in collaboration with IITs (Kharagpur, Guwahati, Indore) and NIT Meghalaya. In last 13 years, SFS has trained over 5500 youths (65% girls), over 75% of whom are now engaged in 90+ hospitals in almost all major cities in India.

nAbout the Role:

nThis position is for someone who enjoys direct engagement with students, parents and communities. You will drive enrolment conversations, counsel prospective students face-to-face, manage high-volume phone/video follow-ups, and build the systems that keep students engaged from first enquiry through to alumni status.

nKey Responsibilities:

n1. In-Person Counselling & Admissions

n● Conduct face-to-face counselling with prospective students and families at centres, schools, and community events

n● Convert enquiries into admissions through structured, empathetic, one-on-one guidance

n● Represent SFS at career fairs, school outreach sessions, and community mobilization drives

n

n2. Over-the-Phone & Virtual Counselling

n● Manage high-volume telephonic and video counselling for students and parents unable to visit in person

n● Maintain robust telephone etiquette and follow-up discipline across a distributed, multi-centre pipeline

n● Build counselling scripts/protocols that centre staff can replicate consistently

n

n3. Student Engagement





n● Design and execute the student engagement calendar — orientation drives, peer mentoring, on-ground activities — implemented uniformly across all centres

n● Plan and roll out parent/guardian engagement activities (open houses, info sessions, home visits) addressing real motivating and financial concerns of families

n● Build and manage a referral network among parents, alumni and local opinion-leaders to drive admissions

n

n4. Team-Building & Capacity Development

n● Train and coach centre-level administrative and faculty staff to run a professional, informative, result-oriented counselling process

n● Standardize counselling and admissions practices across centres through hands-on training

n● Build a motivated, accountable student engagement team at each centre

n

n5. Alumni Relations

n● Establish the SFS Alumni Association from the ground up

n● Design and run an ongoing alumni engagement calendar (mentorship, referrals, success-story outreach) that feeds into admissions and brand credibility

n

nQualification & Experience

n● Post-graduate in Sociology, Psychology, Communication, Business Administration, HR or related field

n● Minimum 7 years total experience, including at least 3 years with youth groups and 3–4 years in the health sector

n

nMust-Have Attributes

n● Genuine understanding of youth aspiration, including among girls and from rural areas — their financial realities and decision-making behaviour

n● Track record of motivating such youth toward health-sector careers, not just informing them

n● Patience and presence to engage parents, guardians, teachers and local opinion-leaders in person

n● Strong telephone/video counselling discipline

n● Flexibility to travel

n● Fluency in Bengali, Hindi and English languages
