Purpose/Objective To ensure the safety, security, and protection of plant assets, employees, contractors, and visitors by implementing robust security systems, managing security operations, maintaining regulatory compliance, and mitigating security risks across the thermal power project.

Key Responsibilities of Role a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb; } tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6; } tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5; } Security Operations Management - Oversee day-to-day security operations of the thermal power plant, township, stores, coal yard, and project premises.

- Ensure effective deployment and supervision of security personnel and outsourced security agencies.
- Monitor access control systems, gate management, vehicle movement, and visitor management processes.
- Conduct regular security audits, patrol inspections, and vulnerability assessments. Asset Protection & Risk Mitigation - Safeguard critical infrastructure, materials, equipment, fuel inventory, and company assets from theft, pilferage, sabotage, and unauthorized access.

- Identify potential security threats and implement preventive and corrective measures.
- Develop and maintain contingency plans for emergency situations and security incidents. Surveillance & Technology Management - Manage CCTV systems, access control systems, perimeter security, boom barriers, biometric systems, and other security technologies.

- Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of security equipment and surveillance infrastructure.
- Analyze surveillance reports and investigate suspicious activities. Incident Management & Investigation - Lead investigations related to security breaches, theft, trespassing, misconduct, and other security-related incidents.

- Prepare investigation reports and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and law enforcement agencies when required.



Regulatory & Compliance Management - Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, industrial security guidelines, and company security policies.

- Liaise with local administration, police authorities, intelligence agencies, and district officials for security-related matters.
- Maintain security records, permits, licenses, and compliance documentation. Emergency Response & Crisis Management - Coordinate with Fire & Safety teams during emergencies, disasters, and crisis situations.

- Participate in mock drills and emergency preparedness programs.
- Support business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives. Contractor & Workforce Security Management - Verify credentials and monitor contractor workforce deployment.

- Ensure adherence to security protocols by contractors, vendors, and visitors.
- Conduct security awareness programs for employees and contract workers. Team Management - Lead and develop security personnel through training, coaching, and performance monitoring.

- Evaluate security agency performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure discipline, vigilance, and professionalism among security teams.

Qualifications and Experience

- Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Certification in Industrial Security Management / Safety & Security Management will be preferred.
- Ex-Defense, Para-Military, CISF, CRPF, BSF, or Police background will be an added advantage.
- 10-15 years of relevant experience in industrial security, power plants, manufacturing units, heavy industries, mining, steel, cement, or infrastructure projects. Experience in handling large-scale industrial security operations and security manpower management.
