Role & responsibilities

- Core project planning experience in heavy structural steel fabrication for industrial sheds, thermal power plants, FGD/CHP, and bridges.

- Hands-on mastery in creating and managing Level 3/4 baseline schedules, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and CPM networks using Primavera P6 and MS Project.

- In-depth technical knowledge of the complete steel fabrication lifecycle, including cutting, fit-up, welding (SAW/FCAW), NDT, shot blasting, and painting.

- Proven expertise in Bill of Quantities (BOQ) verification, Material Take-Off (MTO), plate nesting plans, and minimizing raw material scrap rates.

- Strong track record in resource loading, manpower leveling, and setting daily/monthly tonnage dispatch targets for shop-floor optimization.

- Advanced capabilities in project controls, including Earned Value Management (EVM), tracking SPI/CPI metrics, S-Curve analysis, and delay/EOT claim preparation.

- End-to-end coordination with Engineering teams (Tekla drawing releases), QA/QC, Procurement, Plant Operations, and Logistics for timely project delivery.

- High proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD, SAP (MM/PP modules), and advanced Excel for executive reporting and data analytics.





- Demonstrated ability to lead progress review meetings and interface directly with clients, EPC contractors, consultants, and Third-Party Inspection Agencies (TPIA).

- Exceptional leadership skills to manage, mentor, and direct a team of planning engineers and quantity schedulers across complex structural contracts.

Preferred candidate profile

- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Civil Engineering with a strong specialization in heavy structural steel fabrication and erection for industrial, power, and bridge projects.

- Expert command of Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD, and SAP (MM/PP modules) for Level 3/4 baseline scheduling, progress tracking, and executive reporting.

- Comprehensive technical knowledge of structural fabrication workflows, including material cutting, fit-up, welding standards, NDT, shot blasting, and surface coatings.

- Robust project controls background with proven ability to execute Earned Value Management (EVM), S-curve analysis, BOQ/MTO validation, and EOT claim documentation.

- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing planning teams and interfacing with Tekla detailers, EPC clients, consultants, and Third-Party Inspection Agencies.
