As a Java Application Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality Java web applications that support business transaction and reporting needs. You will collaborate with team members to determine design specifications, participate in code reviews, and contribute to internal infrastructure and process improvements.

Your role will require strong technical competency, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in an workplace that values quality, commitment, growth, and innovation. You will also assist with production problem resolution as needed, including occasional off-hour support.

Technical Expertise

- In-depth working knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Hibernate/JPA, with current experience on Java 17/Java 21 (LTS) and Spring Boot 4.x.
- Modern front-end proficiency in React (with Next.js) and/or Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive/component-based UI design; legacy jQuery/JavaScript experience a plus.
- AI-assisted development skills,



including GitHub Copilot, Claude, and Gemini for day-to-day coding, and experience building or integrating AI features using Google Vertex AI and Spring AI.
- Cloud development and deployment experience with Google Cloud Platform (primary) — including Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, and Cloud Functions — with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS as a plus.
- Database experience across PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MS SQL Server, including schema design, query performance tuning, and data migration.
- Experience developing and automating unit tests using JUnit 5 and/or TestNG, with mocking/assertion libraries such as Mockito and AssertJ.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) to support continuous testing and delivery.
- Experience with code management tools (e.g., Git, SVN) and website performance testing.
