About Natya Rasamandala
Natya Rasamandala is looking for a passionate and experienced Kathak teacher to join our institution in Halehalli, Bangalore. We are seeking someone who can nurture students' interest in Indian classical dance while providing structured and engaging Kathak training.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular Kathak classes for children and/or adults.
- Teach Kathak fundamentals, technique, footwork, expressions, taal, and choreography.
- Prepare students for performances, examinations, competitions, and cultural events.
- Plan lessons according to students' age and skill level.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain a positive, disciplined, and encouraging classroom setting.
- Participate in performances, workshops, and other activities organized by Natya Rasamandala.
Requirements
- Formal training in Kathak from a recognized guru or institution is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Kathak technique, repertoire, taal, and abhinaya.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to teach beginners as well as intermediate-level students.
- Passion for Indian classical dance and teaching.
- Performance experience will be an added advantage.
