Role Description The Junior Training Officer is a full-time role, on-site role focusing on training the students from Undergraduate Programs of BGS sister concerned institutions, based in the Greater Bengaluru Area. This position supports the planning and delivery of training programs for MBA learners, including coordinating schedules, organizing training materials, and assisting in classroom and workshop facilitation. The role involves tracking learner progress, collecting feedback, and preparing reports to help refine training content and methods.
The Junior Training
Officer collaborates with faculty and industry partners to support skill-development initiatives, guest sessions, and corporate interactions. The position also includes administrative tasks related to training logistics, documentation, and communication with learners to ensure smooth execution of all training activities.
Educational Qualification· MBA/Postgraduate degree in Management or a relevant discipline from a recognised institution.
· Specialisation in Human Resources, Marketing, Finance, or related areas will be considered relevant.
Experience· Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in any of the following:
o Learning & Development (L&D;)
o Corporate Training o Student Training / Employability Training o Academic institutions in a Trainer, Training Coordinator, Faculty, or similar role o Career Development / Placement Training
Compensation· CTC: ₹3.6– ₹4.5 LPA, commensurate with qualifications, relevant experience, and demonstrated competencies.
· Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s overall profile, relevant experience, and performance during the selection process.
Preferred Skills & Competencies· Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
· Ability to train students in Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability, Communication Skills, Resume Building, Group Discussions, Interview Skills, and Workplace Readiness.
· Positive understanding of student development and employability requirements.
· Ability to design training materials, assessments, exercises, and learning activities.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with students, faculty, recruiters, and external trainers.
· Ability to conduct assessments, analyse student performance, and identify training requirements.
· Good organisational and coordination skills for managing multiple training and placement activities.
· Proficiency in MS Office / Google Workspace, with knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets and presentation tools.
· Willingness to work in a student-centric, outcome-oriented academic environment.
Desirable· Experience in handling employabality related training programs for BBA/MBA students.
· Exposure to campus placements, recruitment processes, employability skills, or career services.
· Experience coordinating with industry professionals, recruiters, external trainers, or corporate L&D; teams.
· Certifications in Training & Development, Learning & Development, HR, aptitude training, soft skills, or career coaching will be an added advantage.
Key ResponsibilitiesTraining and Student DevelopmentIdentify students’ training and development needs through assessments, feedback, placement requirements, and consultation with faculty members and the reporting officer.
Design and deliver training programmes under the supervision and guidance of the reporting officer.
Conduct training in areas such as aptitude, logical reasoning, verbal ability, resume preparation, group discussions, interview skills, professional communication, workplace readiness, and career development.
Develop training plans, schedules, learning materials, exercises, assessments, and other resources required for effective programme delivery.
Organise mock interviews, aptitude tests, group discussions, workshops, career-readiness sessions,
and other employability-development activities.
Identify students who require additional support and provide appropriate mentoring, guidance, and training interventions.
Coordinate with faculty members, external trainers, alumni, and industry professionals for specialised training programmes and student-development activities.
Monitor student attendance, participation, progress, and performance in training activities.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes through assessments, student performance, recruiter feedback, and participant feedback.
Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, assessments, feedback, and student progress.
Continuously improve training content and delivery based on industry expectations, recruitment trends, and identified student needs.
Placement Coordination
Coordinate campus placement activities for BGSCET MBA and Undergraduate students of BGS Group.
Support employer outreach and maintain professional relationships with recruiters, industry partners, alumni, and other stakeholders.
Identify and circulate suitable employment opportunities to eligible students.
Coordinate recruitment processes, including student registrations, eligibility verification, pre-placement talks, assessments, interviews, campus visits, and related logistics.
Guide students regarding job opportunities, application requirements, recruitment processes, and skilled conduct.
Coordinate communication among recruiters, students, faculty members, and the Placement Office.
Maintain updated student, recruiter, application, selection, offer, and joining records.
Track student participation and progress throughout recruitment processes and follow up with the relevant stakeholders.
Collect feedback from recruiters and use it to strengthen student training and placement preparation.
Prepare placement reports, dashboards, presentations, student profiles, recruiter databases, and other required documentation.
Support industry interactions, career events, networking activities, guest sessions, and alumni engagement initiatives that enhance student employability.
Ensure the confidentiality, accuracy, and appropriate handling of student and recruiter information.
Provide regular updates to the reporting officer on training activities, placement processes, outcomes, upcoming priorities, and matters requiring attention.
Support the day-to-day functioning of the Training and Placement Office and undertake other related responsibilities assigned by the reporting officer.
