Job Summary

We are looking for a Civil Laboratory Technician to work in our NABL-accredited Civil Testing Laboratory, primarily handling steel testing and related laboratory activities. The candidate will be responsible for conducting tests as per applicable standards, maintaining accurate test records, operating laboratory equipment, and supporting NABL documentation and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct steel testing as per applicable IS/ASTM standards and laboratory procedures.
- Perform tests such as:
- Tensile Strength Test
- Yield Strength Test
- Elongation Test
- Bend Test
- Rebend Test
- Mass/Weight per Metre verification
- Dimensional and other applicable steel tests
- Prepare test specimens and ensure proper identification and traceability of samples.
- Operate and maintain Universal Testing Machine (UTM) and other laboratory equipment.
- Record test observations, readings, calculations, and results accurately.
- Prepare test reports and maintain laboratory records.
- Follow approved SOPs, test methods, and NABL quality procedures.
- Ensure proper calibration and condition of testing equipment and immediately report abnormalities.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness,



safety, and proper handling of samples and equipment.
- Assist in maintaining NABL-related records, registers, and quality documentation.
- Coordinate with the laboratory engineer and technical team regarding testing requirements.
- Ensure testing is completed accurately and within the required timeline.

Educational Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or related qualification.
- Candidates with relevant experience in civil material testing / steel testing laboratories will be preferred.

Required Skills
- Knowledge of steel testing procedures and standards.
- Basic knowledge of IS codes and laboratory testing methods.
- Hands-on experience with UTM and laboratory equipment is preferred.
- Valuable understanding of test observations, calculations, and reporting.
- Basic knowledge of NABL laboratory practices.
- Good documentation and record-maintenance skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a laboratory team.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in a NABL-accredited civil/material testing laboratory.
- Experience in steel testing / construction material testing.
- Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹18,600.00 - ₹24,364.00 per month
