Role Description The Java Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and services in a modern, distributed setting. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code, implementing and refining microservices, integrating applications using the Spring Framework, and participating in code reviews to ensure quality and consistency.

The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, translating them into technical solutions, and troubleshooting issues in production and development environments. The engineer will also contribute to improving development practices, optimizing performance,



and maintaining secure, scalable systems that align with client needs. This is a full-time, remote role, requiring effective communication and collaboration in a distributed team setting.

Qualifications

- Strong Software Development skills with experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining production-grade applications.
- Hands-on Programming experience, primarily in Java, with a solid understanding of object-oriented principles and design patterns.
- Practical experience building and maintaining Microservices architectures, including service integration and scalability considerations.
- Proficiency with the Spring Framework (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data) for building robust and secure enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs, relational databases, and version control systems (e.g., Git), along with basic understanding of CI/CD practices.
- Ability to write clean, testable code, including unit and integration tests, and familiarity with tools such as JUnit or similar frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in consulting or working across multiple domains (e.g., finance, healthcare, eCommerce) is a plus.
