Job Summary

PreBo Automotive Private Limited is looking for a Production IT Support Engineer / Desktop Support Engineer to provide hands-on IT support across the manufacturing shop floor and production operations.

The role involves troubleshooting and maintaining desktops, laptops, Industrial PCs, production-line computers, printers, barcode scanners and network connectivity, while minimizing IT-related production downtime.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide hands-on IT and desktop support on the production shop floor.
- Install, configure and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, Industrial PCs and production terminals.
- Support Industrial PCs such as Portwell, Laxsons and Advantech.
- Install and troubleshoot Windows OS, drivers, applications and production software.
- Attend production-line IT breakdowns and resolve issues promptly.
- Configure IP addresses, computer names and basic network settings.
- Troubleshoot LAN, Ethernet, Wi-Fi and TCP/IP connectivity issues.
- Install and troubleshoot 2D barcode scanners, barcode/thermal printers and handheld devices.
- Provide basic support for MES, production and shop-floor applications.
- Perform hardware diagnostics and replace components such as RAM, HDD/SSD, SMPS and peripherals.
- Maintain IT asset records,



incident/ticket records and equipment movement details.
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, vendors and central IT teams.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of Windows OS installation and troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of desktop/laptop hardware and peripherals.
- Basic knowledge of LAN, TCP/IP and network troubleshooting.
- Hands-on knowledge of printers, scanners and barcode devices.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office.
- Good communication and coordination skills.

Good to Have
- Experience in automotive / auto-component manufacturing.
- Experience supporting production-line computers or Industrial PCs.
- Knowledge of MES / ERP / shop-floor applications.
- Basic knowledge of Active Directory, DHCP and DNS.
- Exposure to IT ticketing/helpdesk systems.

- Strong sense of urgency when IT issues impact production.

Pay: ₹250,000.00 - ₹450,000.00 per month
