Role Summary The Inventory Manager will own end-to-end inventory for GalaxEye's Ground Floor AIT facility across two streams: (1) build and flight inventory — engineering-model and flight parts, sub-systems, ESD-sensitive components and consumables; and (2) static test equipment held in racks across the labs. The inventory function is currently being set up on an interim basis; this role takes over full ownership of inventory — strategy, systems, and day-to-day control — supported by an Inventory Associate. You will lead the rollout of the Zoho Enterprise inventory system, set the stock policies and replenishment rules that keep the AIT floor running without stoppages, and build the inventory function needed as GalaxEye moves from a single satellite toward constellation-rate production — the facility is designed for up to 20 satellites/year and 5 per quarter.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inventory Strategy & Policy

- Own the end-to-end inventory strategy across both streams — build/flight parts and static test equipment.
- Take over the interim inventory set-up already in place on the floor; review, formalise, and standardise its processes and records.
- Define inventory policies, stock norms, and replenishment rules as build cadence scales from one satellite toward multiple satellites in parallel.
- Set standards for storage and handling of flight, EM, and ESD-sensitive stock in the Inventory Room, including transparent segregation of flight and non-flight hardware.

1. Inventory System & Traceability

- Lead the implementation and rollout of the Zoho Enterprise inventory system — item master set-up, migration of existing stock and rack records, user training, and go-live on the floor.




- Establish lot/serial traceability for flight parts and link material issues (GRN, issue, return) to the build they support, so that build records remain traceable per flight unit.
- Ensure system records stay aligned with physical stock and with the Inventory Room material-movement register.

1. Build & Flight Inventory Stream

- Oversee receiving, storage, kitting, and issuing of EM/flight parts and ESD-sensitive consumables, with kits delivered to labs per the AIT daily schedule and replenished in real time as parts are consumed.
- Own the reconciliation cadence — daily transaction reconciliation, weekly cycle counts of high-usage items, and monthly full physical reconciliation against system records.
- Anticipate and escalate shortages to the Operations Head and SCM before they affect the build schedule.

1. Static Test Equipment Stream

- Own the master record for static test-equipment racks across all labs (RF/NOVA Lab, ESS Lab, Structures Lab, cleanrooms) — check-in/check-out logging, audit trail, and calibration status.
- Ensure weekly rack audits are carried out with the respective rack custodians and that calibration due-dates are kept current.
- Own the calibration schedule for all lab racks and flag upcoming due items to the Operations Head, so that no out-of-calibration equipment is used on the floor.

1. KPIs, Reporting, Audit & Compliance





- Own inventory KPIs and reporting — inventory accuracy, turnaround, shrinkage, and stock-out incidents — and report them to the Operations Head on a regular cadence.
- Act as the primary point of contact for inventory audits and compliance, internal and external.
- Review discrepancies raised from the weekly reconciliation of the Inventory Room access/material register against stock records, and drive them to closure.

1. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Coordination

- Lead and direct the Inventory Associate in day-to-day inventory tasks — kitting, receiving, reconciliation, and rack records — and set standards for how they are done.
- Build out the inventory team as satellite build volume increases.
- Coordinate with SCM/procurement on incoming material planning; work with the Ops & Maintenance team on procurement requests, incoming/outgoing shipments, and rack custodianship in the labs.
- Coordinate with the AIT Lead on parts availability, kitting, and shortages — directly for day-to-day needs, or through the Operations Head where required.
