Job Title: Inventory Manager

Job Location: Kochi (Cochin), Kerala

Role Overview The Inventory Manager will oversee and control high-value diamond jewellery inventory across all retail stores, central warehouse, and transit locations. This pivotal role ensures complete inventory accuracy, enforces stringent internal controls over high-value stock, conducts timely physical-to-system reconciliations, and manages secure inter-location stock movements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inventory Control & Reconciliation

- Manage end-to-end jewellery inventory across stores, warehouses, and transit locations.
- Conduct precise physical vs. system reconciliations, verifying item quantities, piece weights, diamond clarity/purity, and tagging integrity.
- Plan and execute regular cycle counts and full physical stock audits across all locations.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, excesses, or losses immediately.

2. Stock Movement & Tracking

- Authorize, monitor, and audit inter-store, warehouse-to-store, and external stock transfers with complete documentation.
- Maintain tracking for inventory movements related to repairs, customer returns, exchanges, and approvals.
- Analyze inventory ageing, track slow-moving stock, and optimize store-wise inventory balances to prevent overstocking or stockouts.

3. Systems, Controls & Reporting

- Ensure 100% accurate tagging, barcoding, and immediate ERP system updates for all arriving and moving stock.
- Formulate, implement,



and strictly enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and audit frameworks across all branches.
- Prepare regular MIS reports and management dashboards detailing overall stock position, stock variances, transfer logs, and ageing analysis.

4. Team Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Lead, mentor, and direct the inventory team to uphold high standards of process discipline and accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with Store Managers, Finance, Production, and Operations teams to eliminate operational bottlenecks.
- Maintain high accountability across all retail points to protect high-value stock against loss or misplacement.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Experience: 5–10 years of experience in inventory management, preferably within high-end retail or diamond/gold jewellery retail chains.
- High-Value Inventory Management: Proven expertise handling high-value merchandise with strict compliance and loss-prevention measures.
- Audit & Control Expertise: Strong proficiency in multi-location stock reconciliation, physical inventory audits, and store controls.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with contemporary ERP inventory modules, barcoding systems, and advanced Excel/MIS reporting dashboard creation.
- Leadership & Personal Attributes: Exceptional analytical capability, high integrity, meticulous attention to detail, and proven team management skills.
