Role Description

Based in GIFT City, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India, this role is part of Ciqur24’s IT Operations and Managed Services team. The specialist will support client and internal environments, collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud, service desk, and project teams, and may participate in planned maintenance or incident-response activities outside standard business hours.

You will partner with client stakeholders, end users, vendors, and internal technical teams to maintain service quality, resolve incidents, implement changes, strengthen security controls, and continuously improve operational processes.

The role offers exposure to diverse client environments and cross-functional collaboration across infrastructure, cloud, endpoint, identity, and security operations.

Success in this position requires strong ownership, disciplined troubleshooting, clear communication, accurate documentation, and a willingness to learn and share knowledge.

The primary focus of this role is the administration, monitoring, security, and continuous improvement of Microsoft and virtualised infrastructure, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, VMware, Hyper-V, endpoint management, backup, and disaster recovery.

Primary responsibilities will be :

o Monitor servers, networks, cloud services, backups, endpoints, and business-critical systems; investigate alerts, logs, capacity trends, and user-reported issues.

o Administer identities, access privileges, security groups, policies, and privileged access in line with least-privilege principles.

o Manage incidents, service requests, problems, and changes according to agreed SLAs and ITIL-aligned processes.

o Plan and execute patching, upgrades, configuration changes, vulnerability remediation, and lifecycle activities with appropriate testing and rollback plans.

o Support application and infrastructure integrations across Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, VMware, Hyper-V, Azure, AWS, and third-party platforms.

o Maintain operational documentation, asset and configuration records, SOPs, runbooks, incident reports, and audit evidence.

o Coordinate with clients, vendors,



and internal teams; communicate technical issues clearly and drive them through to resolution.

o Identify opportunities for automation, standardisation, cost optimisation, improved resilience, and stronger security controls.

Hyper-V & Windows Server Support:

o Administer supported Windows Server environments, Active Directory Domain Services, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, VPN, IIS, file services, and related infrastructure.

o Administer and troubleshoot Active Directory Domain Services, including domain controllers, replication, trusts, Group Policy, DNS integration, organisational units, and secure delegation.

o Manage Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS), including the offline root certificate authority, issuing certificate authorities, certificate templates, enrolment and renewal, revocation lists, certificate stores, key protection, backup, recovery, auditing, and secure certificate lifecycle operations.

o Operate Hyper-V clusters and virtual machines, including provisioning, performance monitoring, capacity planning, high availability, and recovery.

o Manage storage, file-system permissions, backup jobs, restore testing, retention, and disaster-recovery procedures.

o Perform secure configuration, patching, hardening, health checks, and root-cause analysis for infrastructure incidents.

o Maintain accurate diagrams, inventories, build documents, configuration baselines, and operational runbooks.

VMware Support:

o Administer VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter, clusters, virtual machines, templates, storage, networking, permissions, and security settings.

o Monitor availability, utilisation, capacity, and performance; troubleshoot faults and coordinate corrective actions.

o Plan and implement upgrades, patches, firmware updates, migrations, and lifecycle activities with minimal service disruption.

o Support backup, replication, disaster recovery, and recovery testing for virtual workloads.

o Document architecture, standards, procedures, risks, and changes, and explain technical issues clearly to stakeholders.

Microsoft 365:

o Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Microsoft Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft Intune.

o Manage user lifecycle, licences, groups, authentication methods, multifactor authentication, self-service password reset, and role-based access.

o Configure and support Conditional Access, device registration, mobile device and application management, compliance policies, and application proxy.

o Troubleshoot identity, single sign-on, mail flow, delivery, spam, quarantine, collaboration, and synchronisation issues.

o Review audit and security logs, service health, storage and usage trends,



and access controls; support investigations and compliance reporting.

o Apply security baselines, data-protection controls, retention requirements, and operational best practices across the Microsoft 365 environment.

Your qualifications and experience:

We are looking for a professional with approximately 8–12 years of relevant experience in IT operations, infrastructure administration, managed services, or a closely related role. Candidates with solid hands-on capability and a record of independently managing complex environments are encouraged to apply.

- Solid hands-on knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, VMware, Hyper-V, networking, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory Domain Services and Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS), including enterprise PKI architecture, offline root and issuing certificate authorities, certificate templates, enrolment, renewal, revocation, backup, recovery, and security hardening.
- Working knowledge of Azure and/or AWS, endpoint management, identity security, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure monitoring.
- Practical experience with incident, problem, change, service request, and SLA management in an ITIL-aligned environment.
- Ability to analyse complex issues, identify root causes, communicate risk, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity controls, audit readiness, data protection, and compliance requirements is preferred.
- Experience creating and maintaining SOPs, runbooks, configuration records, incident notes, and compliance evidence.

Your personal qualifications and experience:

You should be able to work effectively within Ciqur24 and across client organisations, communicating confidently with end users, technical teams, project managers, vendors, and senior stakeholders.

§ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

§ 8–12 years of relevant industry experience in IT operations, infrastructure, cloud, or managed services.
