Job Purpose To support the Product Development and Production team by conducting time study, method study, capacity planning, line balancing, and process improvement to achieve optimum productivity, cost efficiency, and smooth product development execution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Development Support
- Study new product styles and provide operation breakdown.
- Prepare SMV (Standard Minute Value) for new samples.
- Support PD team for feasibility and cost estimation.
- Suggest best production methods for new styles.
2. Time & Method Study
- Conduct time study and motion study for each operation.
- Develop standard operation procedures (SOPs).
- Identify bottlenecks and suggest improvements.
3. Line Balancing & Productivity Improvement
- Perform line balancing for stitching / assembly / finishing.
- Ensure target output achievement as per plan.
- Monitor daily productivity and efficiency report.
4. Manpower & Capacity Planning
- Calculate required manpower based on SMV and targets.
- Prepare capacity report for production planning.
- Support production team to meet shipment deadlines.
5. Process Improvement
- Improve workflow and reduce wastage.
- Support implementation of lean tools like:
- 5S
- Kaizen
- Work Standardization
- Layout improvement
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain IE reports like:
- SMV sheet
- Operation bulletin
- Line efficiency report
- Daily output report
- Coordinate with QC, Production, and PD team.
Skills Required
- Basic knowledge of Industrial Engineering in leather goods / garment / bag manufacturing
- Time study, method study knowledge
- Line balancing and efficiency calculation
- Good Excel knowledge (SMV sheets, reports)
- Understanding of stitching operations / leather product processes
- Positive communication & coordination skills
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Diploma / BE (Industrial / Mechanical / Production)
- Experience in Leather exports / Bags / Shoes / Leather garments
- Ready to work in factory floor and production environment
Salary
As per industry standards based on interview & experience.
