To support the Finance Manager/Finance Controller in managing General Ledger activities, ensuring accurate and timely recording, reconciliation and reporting of financial transactions. The role is responsible for cash and bank reconciliations, foreign currency accounting and revaluation, intercompany accounting and reconciliations, balance sheet schedules, audit support and process improvements, automations UAT, while providing day-to-day guidance supervision to the GL team.

Key responsibilities

- Strong knowledge of General Ledger accounting and financial accounting principles.
- Good understanding of balance sheet reconciliations and month-end closing activities.
- Working knowledge of foreign currency accounting, exchange rates and foreign currency revaluation.
- Good understanding of intercompany accounting and reconciliation processes.
- Knowledge of financial controls, accounting policies and audit requirements.

Education and Proffesional Qualification:

Essential

- MBA in Finance/Accounting.
- Skilled qualification such as CMA Inter, CA Inter.
- 8-12 years of relevant accounting/finance experience.
- Practical experience in GL, reconciliations, intercompany and foreign currency accounting.
- Ability to work independently and meet month-end and reporting deadlines.

Desirable:
- Professional qualification such as CMA Final, CA Final Or Equivalent.
- Shipping/logistics industry experience
- Experience in finance transformation, automation or process improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of IFRS or international accounting standards.
- Experience in shared services/global finance environments
