Designation: Import Manager

Job Location : Ahmedabad

Role Overview : -

The Import Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end import operations, ensuring timely procurement of imported materials, regulatory compliance, cost optimization, and seamless coordination with suppliers

Key Responsibilities : -

- Manage end-to-end import operations, including purchase order execution, shipment planning, customs clearance, and final delivery of imported materials to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
- Coordinate with international suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, clearing agents, and transporters to ensure timely dispatch, tracking, and receipt of shipments
- Review, verify, and maintain all import-related documentation such as Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, Insurance Documents, and other statutory records.
- Ensure compliance with Customs regulations, DGFT guidelines, import policies, FEMA requirements, and other applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor shipment schedules,



transit timelines, and clearance activities to minimize delays, avoid demurrage costs, and ensure timely material availability.
- Prepare and validate import costing by analyzing freight charges, customs duties, insurance, clearing expenses, and other landed cost components to achieve cost efficiency.
- Develop and maintain solid relationships with overseas suppliers and vendors, ensuring smooth communication, timely order fulfillment, and resolution of shipment-related issues.

Preferred Experience : -

- Graduate; MBA / PG Diploma in Export-Import Management preferred.
- 10–15 years of experience in Import Procurement & Operations.
- Mandatory experience in the FMCG industry.
- Strong knowledge of import documentation, customs clearance, international trade regulations, and logistics.
- Experience working with international suppliers and freight partners.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
