Role Description This remote illustrating role focuses on creating visual materials that support Education Globale et Développement asbl’s educational and development initiatives. The illustrator will develop original illustrations for digital and print content, including learning materials, presentations, social media, and reports. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting briefs from project leads, collaborating with educators and communication staff, and producing artwork that is transparent, inclusive, and culturally sensitive.

The role also involves adapting existing visuals to different formats, preparing files for publication, and maintaining a consistent visual style across all materials. This is a remote position, requiring regular online communication, adherence to project timelines, and openness to feedback and revisions.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated proficiency in digital illustration tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate or similar) and strong drawing skills.




- Experience creating visuals for educational or non-profit contexts, with the ability to convey complex ideas in clear and engaging imagery.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Strong visual storytelling skills, including composition, color theory, and typography awareness.
- Familiarity with inclusive and culturally sensitive design practices, particularly in international or community-based projects.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and incorporating constructive feedback.
- A portfolio showcasing relevant illustration work; formal education in art, design, or a related field is an asset but not required.
- Basic knowledge of preparing artwork for web, social media, and print formats (file types, resolution, and layout considerations).
