Required Skills & Experience

- 10 years of experience in Software Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or Solution Architecture, with significant experience in platform architecture.

- Strong hands-on experience with Backstage and Internal Developer Portal implementations.

- Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale IDP / Platform Engineering solutions.

- Robust understanding of Backstage architecture, including:

- Software Catalog

- Software Templates / Scaffolder

- Backend architecture

- Frontend architecture

- Plugins and custom integrations

- Catalog metadata and entity relationships

- Experience designing developer self-service and Developer Experience (DevEx) solutions.

- Strong understanding of Platform Engineering principles and internal platform operating models.

- Experience integrating Backstage with enterprise DevOps and engineering tools.

- Strong experience with APIs,



REST integrations, authentication, and integration patterns.

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Strong understanding of Kubernetes and cloud-native application platforms.

- Experience with CI/CD platforms and DevOps toolchains.

- Strong understanding of enterprise identity and access management, including:

- SSO

- OAuth/OIDC

- RBAC

- Enterprise identity providers

- Experience defining security and governance models for internal engineering platforms.

- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and automation practices.

- Experience with Git-based development and software engineering workflows.

- Strong architecture documentation, technical leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
