Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad for an IB DP Visual Arts Facilitator. The facilitator will design and deliver engaging Visual Arts lessons aligned with the IB Diploma Programme framework, fostering inquiry, conceptual understanding, and independent creative practice.

Responsibilities include planning units of inquiry, guiding students through the development of studio work and process portfolios, and supporting them in curating and presenting their final exhibitions. The role involves assessing student work according to IB criteria, maintaining accurate records, and preparing learners for internal and external assessments. The facilitator will collaborate with the wider IB team,



participate in professional development, contribute to interdisciplinary projects, and engage with families and the school community to support student growth and well-being.

Qualifications

- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Visual Arts, Fine Arts, Art Education, or a closely related field; formal training in art practice and pedagogy is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Visual Arts at upper secondary or pre-university level; prior IB DP Visual Arts or IB experience is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in a range of traditional and contemporary art media, techniques, and processes, including conceptual and portfolio-based work.
- Strong curriculum planning skills, including unit design, inquiry-based learning strategies, and alignment with IB standards and practices.
- Ability to guide students in research, visual analysis, reflective writing, and documentation of creative process within IB DP requirements.

- Effective classroom management and the ability to create inclusive, safe, and encouraging studio environments that support diverse learners.
- Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues, students, and families in a multicultural setting.
- Commitment to continuous professional growth, openness to feedback, and alignment with TSRA’s values of curiosity, character, and global-mindedness.

- Comfort with using educational technology for planning, documentation, assessment, and showcasing student work.
