Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced HyperMesh Consultant with strong expertise in FEA pre-processing and structural analysis, along with hands-on experience in Nastran and/or OptiStruct. The consultant will support CAE/FEA activities including model preparation, meshing, solver deck creation, quality checks, and technical support.

Key Responsibilities

Perform FEA pre-processing using Altair HyperMesh.

Create and clean 2D and 3D finite element models.

Perform surface and solid meshing using appropriate mesh quality criteria.

Prepare and update FEA solver decks for Nastran and/or OptiStruct.

Define appropriate materials, properties, loads, constraints, contacts, and boundary conditions.

Perform mesh quality checks and model validation.

Support structural analysis activities and troubleshoot model/solver-related issues.

Interpret solver inputs and outputs and support analysis teams with technical inputs.

Work with engineering teams to understand CAD models, engineering drawings, and analysis requirements.

Identify and resolve modelling, meshing, connectivity, and solver setup issues.

Follow project-specific modelling standards and CAE guidelines.





Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to engineering teams when required.

Required Technical Skills

Robust hands-on experience in Altair HyperMesh.

Experience with Nastran and/or OptiStruct.

Good knowledge of FEA pre-processing and finite element modelling.

Strong understanding of 2D and 3D meshing techniques.

Knowledge of mesh quality parameters and element quality checks.

Experience with material and property assignment.

Knowledge of loads, boundary conditions, contacts, and connections.

Ability to work with CAD geometry and complex engineering models.

Good understanding of basic structural mechanics and FEA concepts.

Preferred Skills

Experience in Automotive / Aerospace / Industrial Engineering projects.

Knowledge of NVH, durability, static or dynamic analysis is an advantage.

Experience with ANSA, HyperView or other CAE tools will be an added advantage.

Knowledge of scripting/automation using Tcl/Python is desirable.

Experience working with large and complex FEA models.

Qualification

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
