We're Hiring: HR Executive / HR Coordinator

About us

Science with Shobha is an online tutoring company. We teach Science, Maths, and Coding & AI to students in India, the Netherlands, Italy, Australia, the UAE, and the USA. We cover CBSE, IB, IGCSE, NAPLAN, and local school curricula. Our tutors teach one-to-one, and every student gets a lesson plan built for them.

We're growing quickly, and we need someone to find, onboard, and look after the tutors behind every lesson.

What you'll do

- Tutor hiring: Write and post job ads. Screen CVs and set up demo classes. Run first interviews for Science, Maths, and Coding tutors.
- Onboarding: Handle offer letters, agreements, and document checks. Get new tutors set up on our teaching tools and ways of working.
- Scheduling: keep the tutor timetable up to date.
- Tutor records: Keep tutor files, availability, and attendance in order, and send monthly session counts for payouts.
- Tutor engagement: Collect feedback from parents and students, check in with tutors, and help tutors stay with us longer.
- HR policies: Write and update simple policies for leave, conduct, safeguarding, and working with minors.
- Team support: Help with payroll, contractor payments, and any HR work that comes up as we grow.

What we're looking for
- 1–3 years in HR, recruitment, or operations.



Experience in edtech or education is a robust plus.
- Clear written and spoken English. Hindi is a plus.
- Well organised, with the ability to juggle many tutors, schedules, and time zones.
- Comfortable with Google Workspace, Excel/Sheets, and WhatsApp for Business.
- Understands why child safety and background checks matter when hiring people who teach children.
- Friendly and patient. You'll often be a tutor's first contact with us.

Nice to have
- Experience hiring freelance or part-time teachers
- Familiarity with an ATS or HRMS tool
- A background in education, psychology, or HR management (MBA-HR / BBA / MSW)
