Job Purpose To ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of all hotel engineering, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, equipment, and building maintenance systems. The Maintenance In-Charge is responsible for preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, team supervision, safety compliance, and minimizing equipment downtime.

Key Responsibilities1. Daily Maintenance Operations

- Monitor and maintain all hotel facilities, equipment, machinery, and engineering systems.
- Ensure uninterrupted operation of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, hot water, kitchen equipment, lifts, pumps, generators, and other essential services.
- Attend to maintenance complaints and breakdowns promptly.
- Conduct regular inspection of guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, back-of-house areas, and other hotel facilities.
- Maintain proper records of daily maintenance activities and breakdowns.

1. Preventive Maintenance

- Prepare and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and systems.
- Ensure timely servicing of electrical panels, generators, pumps, air-conditioning systems, kitchen equipment, plumbing systems, and other machinery.
- Maintain equipment history, service records, and maintenance checklists.
- Identify potential problems before they result in major breakdowns.

1. Electrical & Engineering Systems

- Supervise the operation and maintenance of electrical systems, DG sets, transformers, UPS systems, pumps, motors, and control panels.
- Monitor power consumption and identify opportunities for energy savings.
- Ensure proper functioning of lighting, power supply, emergency systems, and other electrical installations.
- Coordinate with authorized service agencies and external technicians when required.

1. Plumbing & HVAC

- Ensure proper functioning of water supply, drainage, sewage, hot water, and plumbing systems.
- Monitor air-conditioning systems and ensure guest comfort.
- Attend to leakage,



water-pressure, drainage, and HVAC-related complaints.
- Coordinate AMC/service requirements for major equipment.

1. Team Supervision

- Supervise electricians, plumbers, technicians, and other maintenance staff.
- Allocate daily duties and monitor work completion.
- Train team members on safe working practices and hotel maintenance standards.
- Ensure staff follow proper safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
- Maintain discipline and performance standards within the maintenance team.

1. Guest Room & Public Area Maintenance

- Ensure rooms are inspected and maintained in proper working condition.
- Respond quickly to maintenance complaints from guests and hotel departments.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping, Front Office, F&B;, Kitchen, and other departments regarding maintenance requirements.
- Ensure maintenance work causes minimum inconvenience to guests.

1. Safety & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with hotel safety standards and applicable statutory requirements.
- Regularly inspect fire-fighting equipment, fire alarms, emergency lighting, and other safety systems.
- Maintain records of inspections, testing, servicing, and statutory certificates.
- Immediately report safety hazards and take corrective action.
- Ensure safe handling of electrical equipment, tools, chemicals, and machinery.

1. Energy & Cost Control

- Monitor electricity, water, fuel, and other utility consumption.
- Implement measures to reduce unnecessary energy and water usage.
- Control maintenance costs through proper planning and preventive maintenance.
- Monitor spare parts and engineering inventory.
- Avoid unnecessary replacement of equipment by ensuring proper maintenance and repair.

Vendor & Contractor Coordination

- Coordinate with external contractors, AMC agencies, suppliers, and service providers.
- Obtain quotations when required and coordinate with the management for approvals.
- Monitor quality and timely completion of outsourced maintenance work.
- Verify service reports and ensure proper documentation.

1. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain daily engineering logbooks and maintenance reports.
- Prepare monthly preventive maintenance and breakdown reports.
- Maintain records of equipment, spare parts, AMC contracts, and service history.
- Report major breakdowns, recurring issues, and maintenance expenses to management.
- Maintain proper handover/takeover records between shifts.

- Reduction in equipment breakdowns and downtime.
- Timely completion of preventive maintenance.
- Quick response to maintenance complaints.
- Guest room and public area maintenance standards.
- Control of electricity, water, and fuel consumption.

Qualification & Experience
- Diploma / ITI / Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or Hotel Engineering.
- 3–7 years of relevant hotel maintenance/engineering experience preferred.
- Experience in hotels, resorts, or large commercial properties will be an advantage.
- Valuable knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, DG, pumps, and general building maintenance.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
