Key Responsibilities

- Dispense medicines accurately as per valid prescriptions and hospital protocols.
- Verify prescription details, drug name, strength, dosage, route, frequency, and duration before dispensing.
- Counsel patients/caregivers regarding medication usage, dosage, storage, precautions, and possible side effects, wherever applicable.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and segregation of medicines as per manufacturer recommendations and hospital policies.
- Monitor expiry dates, batch numbers, stock levels, and near-expiry medicines.
- Maintain appropriate inventory and support timely replenishment of medicines and consumables.
- Follow FIFO/FEFO practices for inventory management.
- Maintain records for controlled, high-alert, LASA and other specially monitored medications as applicable.
- Ensure proper documentation of dispensing, returns, wastage, and stock adjustments.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, stores, billing, and other departments for smooth pharmacy operations.
- Identify and report medication-related discrepancies, adverse drug reactions, medication errors, or near misses as per hospital policy.
- Participate in pharmacy audits, quality initiatives, NABH activities, and medication-safety programs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable pharmacy, drug-control, hospital, and statutory requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and infection-control standards within the pharmacy area.




- Support patient-friendly pharmacy services and resolve routine patient/attendant queries professionally.
- Perform shift duties, including rotational/night shifts, as per hospital requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and hospital information.
- Perform any other pharmacy-related responsibilities assigned by the reporting manager.

Education & Qualification

- D.Pharm / B.Pharm from a recognized institution.
- Valid State Pharmacy Council registration.
- Relevant hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Experience

- Freshers: Can be considered based on hospital requirements.
- Experienced candidates: 1–3 years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
