Job Summary

Presidency School, Nandini Layout, is looking for an experienced and dynamic High School Coordinator – Science (COD) to lead and manage the Science department for the High School section. The candidate will be responsible for academic planning, curriculum implementation, teacher coordination, student performance, and maintaining high academic standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate the High School Science Department and ensure effective academic delivery.
- Plan and monitor the Science curriculum as per ICSE /School academic guidelines.
- Coordinate with Science teachers for lesson planning, assessments, examinations, and academic activities.
- Monitor classroom teaching and provide constructive feedback to teachers.
- Track student academic performance and implement improvement strategies.
- Guide and mentor Science teachers in teaching methodologies and best practices.
- Ensure timely completion of syllabus, assessments, projects, practicals, and academic records.
- Coordinate Science laboratory activities and ensure effective utilization of lab resources.
- Prepare and review question papers, worksheets, assignments, and other academic materials.
- Conduct departmental meetings and maintain proper documentation and academic records.




- Support teachers in handling student-related academic and behavioural concerns.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding students' academic progress when required.
- Work closely with the Principal and Academic Leadership Team in implementing school initiatives.
- Promote cutting-edge, activity-based, and technology-enabled teaching practices.
- Ensure compliance with school policies, academic processes, and quality standards.

Candidate Profile
- Qualification: M.Sc. / B.Sc. in Science or relevant subject with B.Ed.
- Minimum 8 to 15 years of teaching experience in a reputed school, with experience in a coordination/leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of ICSE curriculum and High School Science.
- Excellent communication, leadership, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong academic planning and classroom observation skills.
- Ability to mentor and motivate teachers.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office and digital teaching tools.
- Candidates with experience handling Grades 8–10 will be preferred.
