The Head – Trade & Loan will lead the Trade Finance and Loan operations, overseeing business growth, credit and risk management, portfolio performance, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. The role will work closely with business, credit, operations, treasury, legal, and senior management teams to deliver profitable and well-controlled lending and trade-finance activities.

Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the Trade Finance and Loan portfolio, including working capital, trade finance, term loans, and related banking products.
- Develop and execute business strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, and portfolio-growth objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities and strengthen relationships with corporate and institutional clients.
- Review and monitor loan proposals, credit exposure, collateral, documentation, and portfolio quality.
- Oversee trade-finance products such as Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees, bills/receivables finance, import/export finance, and other structured trade facilities.




- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory requirements, AML/KYC standards, and risk-management frameworks.
- Monitor portfolio performance, overdue accounts, concentration risk, and early-warning indicators.
- Work with credit and risk teams on underwriting, approvals, renewals, restructuring, and remedial actions.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing, documentation, disbursement, and monitoring of transactions.
- Establish appropriate controls to minimize operational, credit, fraud, market, and compliance risks.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Trade & Loan team and establish clear performance objectives.
- Prepare regular MIS, portfolio reviews, and management reports for senior leadership.
- Coordinate with auditors, regulators, legal teams, and internal control functions when required.
