Job Summary: Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with Yashams overall business plans to enhance operational efficiencies and end-customer satisfaction. The role ensures uninterrupted product availability while optimizing inventory, reducing logistics costs, improving working capital utilization and maintaining full statutory compliance.

Role & responsibilities :

Demand Planning & Forecasting

- Support demand forecasting by providing historical data, statistical models and arrive at an unified demand plan.

Procurement & Supplier Management

- Coordinate procurement with global Principals based on demand forecasts.
- Build team-oriented relationships with Principals to improve service levels.
- Resolve supply bottlenecks proactively.

Import & Logistics Management

- Monitor import shipments and coordinate with CFAs, shipping lines, and transporters.
- Optimize freight, insurance and import-related costs.
- Ensure timely customs clearance and statutory documentation.

Inventory Management

- Maintain optimum inventory levels balancing customer service and working capital.
- Reduce slow-moving and non-moving inventory. Track shelf life and expiry-sensitive materials.
- Improve inventory accuracy through periodic audits.

Warehouse Operations

- Ensure safe storage and handling of specialty chemicals & accuracy of inventories
- Improve warehouse productivity and space utilization-storage, handling and distribution of materials
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory and EHS requirements.

Customer Deliveries & Sales Coordination

- Coordinate with CFA and transport partners for timely deliveries.




- Monitor and provide regular shipment status updates to ME/ sales coordinators
- Communicate likely shipment delays -well in advance
- Minimize customer complaints relating to delivery delays.

Working Capital Management

- Support working capital reduction through better inventory turns and reduced dead stock
- Improve cash flow through better procurement planning.

Compliance & Documentation

- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations & industry standards including permits, licenses etc
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Maintain accurate inventory and logistics records.

Team Leadership

- Lead and develop Warehouse, Logistics and Documentation teams.
- Define KPIs and monitor team performance.
- Drive adoption of new technologies and best practices within the function.

Preferred candidate profile

- 18 -20 years in Supply Chain, Procurement, Imports or Logistics.
- At least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in specialty chemicals, pharmaceuticals, ingredients, industrial chemicals or related distribution business preferred.
- Hands-on exposure to imports, customs, warehousing and inventory management.
- Experience with ERP systems and supply chain analytics.
- Preferebly Male candidates based in Mumbai / Navi Mumbai / Thane.
