HEAD – SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT (SCM) Reporting To: VP – Operations & Supply Chain

ROLE PURPOSE The Head – SCM is responsible for leading the end-to-end Supply Chain function, including Domestic Procurement, Import Sourcing, Planning, Inventory Management, Logistics, and Supplier Development. The role focuses on ensuring material availability, optimizing costs, managing supply risks, and driving operational efficiency to support business growth and customer commitments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead strategic sourcing, procurement, and supplier management activities for both domestic and international suppliers.
- Manage import purchases, global sourcing, customs compliance, freight management, and coordination with logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve service levels, cost efficiency, and inventory performance.
- Ensure uninterrupted availability of materials through effective demand planning, inventory control, and supplier engagement.
- Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and pricing with domestic and overseas suppliers to achieve cost savings and value creation.
- Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement in quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost competitiveness.




- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks through supplier contingency planning and business continuity measures.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Finance, Quality, R&D;, and Sales teams to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement, inventory, supplier performance, and working capital.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team and foster a culture of accountability and excellence.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 8–10 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Management.
- Significant experience in both domestic procurement and import purchasing, global sourcing, international trade, customs regulations, and freight forwarding.
- Robust knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP / Oracle / MS Dynamics).
