Purpose/Objective

This role is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the operational efficiency of the port’s diverse business segments, including dry, liquid, and container operations.

The role ensures executing the organization's strategic initiatives, driving productivity, and ensuring optimal resource utilization.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Strategic Oversight: Develop and implement comprehensive strategies across the organization, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Operational Oversight: Oversee the execution of large site port operations, ensuring excellence and efficiency in all aspects of port management.

Change Management: Demonstrate a successful track record in change management within port operations, implementing transformative strategies to enhance performance.

Asset Management: Proven experience in asset management and planning, optimizing the use of resources and infrastructure for maximum efficiency.

Budget Control: Monitor, review, and guide Annual Operating Plans, Capex, and Opex budgets, and set and achieve annual targets for cargo volumes, revenue streams, and operating parameters.

Performance Review: Regularly review MIS reports on operating expenses, operational performance, and safety metrics, initiating timely corrective actions to address any issues.

Resource Optimization: Independently determine the most effective strategies for resource utilization, maximizing operational output.

Operation Excellence: Introduce world-class best practices, SOPs,



and operational change management, leveraging global international exposure in seaport management Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrate adept people management skills, managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, and liaising with statutory and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance and foster collaborative partnerships.

Safety Standards and Audits: Ensure exceptional safety standards are maintained across all sites, with proactive and reactive safety audits implemented.

Regulatory Compliance: Experience in liaising with statutory and regulatory authorities, ensuring the port's operations comply with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Brand Positioning: Ensure Adani's brand values are shown in all interactions.

Strengthen relationships to boost the organization's brand and trust within the market and company.

Qualifications and Experience

Education Qualifications: B.

Tech (with Marine exposure) / B Tech Marine engg MBA (Operations/General Management) Total Work Experience: 18 - 20 years' work experience, minimum 8 years in leadership position with large conglomerates.
