nJob Summary:

nWe are looking for an experienced Head – Quality to lead the Quality function for our CRM Complex at Gudur, Andhra Pradesh. The ideal candidate should have minimum 25+ years of comprehensive Quality experience across CGL, CCL and CRM operations, with solid hands-on exposure to Galvanizing and Galvalume lines.

nThe candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining quality standards across the complete processing chain, ensuring product quality, customer compliance, process control, and continuous improvement.

nRoles and Responsibility:

n

n
- Lead the overall Quality Assurance & Quality Control function for the CRM Complex.
n
- Drive quality control across CRM, CCL and CGL lines from incoming raw material to finished products.
n
- Ensure comprehensive quality control of Cold Rolling Mill (CRM) operations, including process and finished-product quality.
n
- Oversee quality requirements for Continuous Galvanizing Line (CGL) and Continuous Colour Coating Line (CCL).
n
- Manage and control quality parameters for Galvanized and Galvalume products.
n
- Establish and monitor process quality standards, inspection procedures, testing parameters and product specifications.
n
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, applicable standards and internal quality systems.
n
- Lead root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality deviations and customer complaints.
n
- Monitor product quality trends, rejection, rework, downgraded material and customer complaints.
n
- Develop and implement Quality Control Plans, SOPs, inspection standards and testing protocols.
n
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, R&D;/Technical, Sales and Customer Service teams for quality improvement.
n




- Handle and resolve customer quality complaints, including investigation, RCA and corrective actions.
n
- Drive continuous improvement, process capability and reduction of quality losses.
n
- Lead internal and external quality audits and ensure timely closure of observations.
n
- Develop and mentor the Quality team across CRM, CCL and CGL operations.
n
- Ensure proper calibration, availability and utilization of quality inspection and testing equipment.
n
- Establish quality KPIs and periodically review performance with Plant/Business leadership.
n
- Ensure complete documentation, traceability and reporting of quality parameters.

nMandatory Experience & Requirements:

n

n
- Minimum 25 years of overall experience in Quality/QA/QC within the Iron & Steel / Steel Processing industry.
n
- Mandatory hands-on experience across all lines:
n
- CRM – Cold Rolling Mill
n
- CCL – Colour Coating Line
n
- CGL – Continuous Galvanizing/Galvalume Line
n
- Strong understanding of steel processing, metallurgical and product quality parameters.
n
- Experience handling quality for multiple processing lines / integrated steel processing complexes.
n
- Strong exposure to process quality, finished-product inspection, testing, RCA, CAPA and customer complaint management.
n
- Proven experience in leading a large Quality function at a senior managerial/head level.
n
- Strong knowledge of relevant steel product standards, customer specifications and quality systems.
n
- Candidates from steel processing companies, CRM complexes, galvanizing/galvalume facilities or integrated steel plants will be preferred.
n
- Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving and cross-functional coordination skills.
n

nPreferred Candidate Profile:

nCandidates currently or previously working as Head – Quality / AGM – Quality / DGM – Quality in a steel processing organization, with substantial exposure to CRM + CGL + CCL and Galvanizing/Galvalume quality, will be preferred.
