With 300+ team members and a growing network across Gujarat, UTS is a people-driven organization with a large field and branch-based workforce.

We are looking for an HR Head who can take ownership of our HR function, strengthen processes, support our employees and help build a positive, disciplined work culture.

The role will also have responsibility for key HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) initiatives across the organization.

Key Areas of ResponsibilityRecruitment & Joining

- Manage the complete recruitment process, from sourcing and interviews to selection and onboarding.
- Handle induction and joining formalities for new employees.
- Prepare offer letters, appointment letters, confirmation letters and other HR documents.

HR Operations

- Manage attendance, leave records and coordinate monthly salary processing.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
- Ensure HR information and documentation are updated regularly.
- Manage HRMS and other HR-related systems.

Compliance

- Ensure timely compliance with PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, Gratuity and other applicable labour laws.
- Coordinate with consultants and support statutory audits and inspections.
- Maintain proper documentation for compliance and internal audits.

HR Policies & Discipline

- Develop and improve HR policies, SOPs and the Code of Conduct as the organization grows.
- Ensure consistent implementation of HR policies across branches.
- Monitor discipline, dress code, workplace behaviour and professional conduct.

Employee Engagement & Culture

- Maintain open communication with employees and help resolve employee concerns and grievances.




- Organize employee engagement activities and important occasions such as birthdays and work anniversaries.
- Contribute to building a positive and professional work culture.

Performance & Development

- Coordinate the performance appraisal process.
- Work with managers to identify training and development needs.
- Coordinate employee training and development initiatives.

Field Workforce & Safety

- Coordinate the monthly self-declaration process for employees using company-owned or personal vehicles for official work, covering vehicle maintenance and condition.
- Drive basic safety awareness across branches, workshops and field teams.
- Coordinate HSE activities, safety campaigns and required follow-up actions.

HR Reporting

- Prepare regular HR reports for management covering areas such as headcount, hiring, attrition, attendance, grievances and other key HR metrics.

What We’re Looking For
- MBA / PGDM in HR preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant HR experience.
- Good knowledge of labour laws, statutory compliance and HR practices.
- Comfortable working with HRMS, MS Office and HR/compliance systems.
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good problem-solving ability and a practical approach.
- Someone who is approachable, organized, hands-on and good at getting things done.
- Experience handling employees across multiple branches or locations will be an advantage.
