The alternatives investment arm of a large diversified financial services group is hiring a Head of Fund Accounting to lead fund accounting and financial reporting for its Category II and Category III AIFs.

Key responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end fund accounting and NAV computation - capital accounting, investor allocations and fund-level financial statements

- Review accounting for investments, income, expenses, management fees, carried interest and performance fees across complex structures

- Oversee financial statements, MIS, fund reports and investor reporting; ensure compliance with SEBI AIF regulations, accounting standards and tax requirements

- Coordinate statutory auditors, tax advisors, fund administrators,



trustees and custodians; drive audit closure

- Oversee capital calls, distributions, subscriptions, redemptions and investor-wise accounting; review portfolio valuation

- Set SLAs, reconciliation frameworks and quality controls with third-party fund administrators

- Build the function - processes, systems, maker-checker controls and automation; lead and develop the team

Preferred backgrounds: AIFs, PE / VC funds, AMCs, fund administrators or Big 4 advisory with significant alternative fund accounting exposure.
