Head Corporate Quality Assurance (CQA)

Location: Mumbai – Corporate Office

Reporting to: Director

CTC: Will depend on experience, skill set, & current CTC but will not be a constraint for the right and deserving candidate

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the Corporate Quality Assurance function across the organisation and provide strategic quality leadership to all manufacturing sites.
- Develop and strengthen Quality Management Systems (QMS) in line with global GMP, regulatory and industry standards.
- Provide corporate oversight of QA operations, compliance, deviations, CAPA, change control, OOS/OOT, investigations and product quality reviews.
- Ensure continuous inspection readiness and effective management of USFDA, EMA, MHRA, WHO, PIC/S and other regulatory inspections, as applicable.
- Review and strengthen data integrity, documentation practices and quality risk management across sites.
- Drive harmonisation of quality systems, SOPs and best practices across manufacturing locations.
- Oversee internal audits, supplier/vendor qualification, quality agreements and compliance assessments.
- Partner closely with Manufacturing, R&D;, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain and Technical Operations to ensure a robust quality culture.
- Identify emerging quality and regulatory risks and develop appropriate preventive and corrective strategies.




- Mentor and develop the QA leadership team across the organisation.
- Act as the senior corporate quality interface with regulatory authorities, consultants and key customers, when required.
- Provide regular quality and compliance updates to the CTO / MD and senior management.

Ideal Candidate

- Senior Quality Assurance qualified with 20+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong exposure to formulations manufacturing, preferably with experience across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Proven experience in Corporate QA / Quality Governance and managing senior QA teams.
- Strong exposure to regulated markets and international regulatory inspections.
- Excellent understanding of GMP, QMS, data integrity, risk management and regulatory compliance.
- Should have the maturity and leadership capability to work directly with the CTO / MD and senior management.
