Role Description The HVAC Design Engineer role is a full time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The HVAC Design Engineer will be responsible for designing HVAC systems for a variety of building types, including preparation of load calculations, equipment selection, ducting and piping layouts, and detailed design documentation. Day-to-day tasks include developing design drawings and specifications using CAD tools, coordinating with other disciplines (MEP, civil, structural, and electrical), and ensuring compliance with relevant standards, codes, and sustainability requirements.

The role involves supporting project meetings, reviewing contractor submittals,



assisting in resolving design and site queries, and contributing to value engineering and optimization of building services solutions. The HVAC Design Engineer will collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to deliver high-quality designs within schedule and budget.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Design Engineering skills, including HVAC system design, load calculations, and preparation of technical documentation.
- Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering skills, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and knowledge of building services principles.
- Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills, including proficiency in 2D drafting tools and coordination of MEP layouts.
- Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering awareness relevant to HVAC systems, such as power requirements, controls, and integration with building electrical services.
- Candidates should possess Product Design and component selection skills, including choosing suitable equipment (chillers, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, fans) and understanding manufacturer data.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; a focus on HVAC or Building Services is preferred.
- Experience in building services consulting or construction projects, ideally within commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure sectors.
- Knowledge of relevant standards and codes (e.g., ASHRAE, IS codes, local building regulations) and basic understanding
