Job Summary

The candidate will provide technical support for AS400 (IBM iSeries) applications and related systems.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting application issues, monitoring system performance, assisting users with AS400-related queries, and supporting upgrades, patches, and data migrations.

The candidate must have a basic understanding of AS400 architecture and be able to work closely with business teams to ensure smooth operations.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a reputed institution or university with solid academic performance.

Responsibilities

- Provide first-level and second-level support for AS400 applications and environments.

- Diagnose and resolve issues related to AS400 jobs, CL programs, RPG/COBOL programs, and database queries.

- Monitor AS400 system performance and ensure uptime and reliability.

- Assist with data migration, system upgrades, and application enhancements on AS400.

- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as backups,



job scheduling, and security checks.

- Document incidents, resolutions, and maintain accurate logs in the ticketing system.

- Collaborate with development teams for bug fixes and enhancements.

- Ensure compliance with IT security and operational standards.

Skills & Competencies:

- Basic knowledge of AS400 (IBM iSeries) systems is not mandatory but added advantage

- Familiarity with RPG, COBOL, and DB2/400 database concepts.

- Basic understanding of networking and system integration.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies or processes.

- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

- Participating in training programs and workshops to develop relevant competencies
