Governance & Compliance Administrator.

3Gi Technology

Full-time | Remote - UK Timings (IST 11 AM- 8:30 PM)

About the role

We’re looking for a Compliance & Governance Administrator to join our team and learn how security, compliance and governance work in a real technology business.

You’ll work closely with our Head of Compliance & Governance and support both our internal compliance work and the work we carry out for clients.

This is a hands-on role. You don’t need to already know all the tools or security frameworks — we’ll train you. What matters most is that you’re interested in technology, willing to learn, organised and good at paying attention to detail.

What you’ll be doing

Your work will cover a mixture of security, compliance, reporting and administration.

Client work

- Help carry out security audits across Microsoft 365 and SIEM environments.
- Review audit results and identify security or compliance issues.
- Create and track remediation tasks in Jira.
- Help maintain client security and risk profiles.
- Support backup audits and Business Impact Assessments.
- Prepare reports and information for client meetings.
- Help clients prepare for security and compliance audits.
- Support work around frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, Cyber Essentials, NIST, CIS, GDPR and PCI DSS.
- Help with security questionnaires, due-diligence requests and cyber insurance questionnaires.
- Work with the team to make sure identified issues are followed up and closed properly.

Internal compliance

You’ll also help 3Gi and its group companies maintain their own compliance requirements.

This can include

- Maintaining risk registers and following up with task owners.
- Gathering evidence for ISO 27001, SOC 2 and Cyber Essentials.
- Supporting internal security and backup checks.

- Keeping track of certification and compliance requirements.
- Helping with vendor risk assessments.
- Supporting Microsoft and AWS partner compliance requirements.

Contracts and administration

You’ll also get exposure to the administrative side of governance and compliance.

This includes

- Preparing and issuing approved agreements and NDAs.
- Keeping records of signed contracts and renewal dates.
- Maintaining contract and document registers.
- Making sure the correct versions of documents and terms are being used.
- Supporting the team with contract and legal administration.

You won’t be expected to negotiate contracts or approve changes to legal terms — these activities are handled by the appropriate senior team members.

AI and technology

AI is becoming an important part of compliance and security work, so you’ll also get experience using AI tools as part of your day-to-day work.

You may use tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and our own internal tools to help with research, auditing, reporting and document work.

You’ll also work with

- Microsoft Defender
- Microsoft Purview
- Microsoft Entra ID
- SIEM tools
- Jira and Confluence
- Microsoft 365
- Reporting and dashboard tools

Training will be provided, so you don't need experience with all of these tools before joining.

What we’re looking for

We’re more interested in your attitude and willingness to learn than a long list of previous experience.

You should

- Have a genuine interest in technology, particularly cybersecurity, compliance or AI.
- Be comfortable working with documents, information and data.
- Have good attention to detail.
- Be organised and able to manage several tasks at the same time.
- Communicate clearly in writing and when speaking with people.
- Be comfortable asking questions when you’re unsure about something.
- Be willing to learn new tools and processes.
- Take responsibility for your work and keep people updated.
- Be comfortable working with confidential information.
- Be confident speaking with colleagues and, when required, clients.

What you’ll get from the role

This is an chance to build practical experience across cybersecurity, compliance, governance and technologyrather than focusing on just one area.

You’ll learn how security audits are carried out, how organisations prepare for certifications, how risks are tracked and managed, and how compliance work connects with the wider business.

You’ll also work alongside people across SOC/SecOps, vCIO, Finance, HR and Sales, giving you a good understanding of how different teams work together.
