Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced GIS Pipeline Data Specialist with 6+ years of experience in GIS data management and pipeline data, with solid hands-on expertise in Esri ArcGIS and PODS.

The candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, validating, and supporting geospatial pipeline data used for pipeline operations, engineering, integrity management, and asset management. The role requires strong knowledge of pipeline data models, spatial data quality, database management, and GIS workflows.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and maintain pipeline GIS datasets using ArcGIS.
- Work with PODS (Pipeline Open Data Standard) data models for pipeline asset information.
- Create, edit, update, and validate pipeline spatial and attribute data.
- Maintain pipeline features such as:
- Pipelines, Routes, Valves, Fittings, Stations, Facilities
- Pipeline segments, Right-of-Way (ROW), Crossings
- Inspection and integrity-related assets
- Perform GIS data loading, migration, transformation, and validation.
- Configure and maintain GIS layers, feature classes, domains, subtypes, and attribute information.
- Perform spatial analysis and quality checks on pipeline datasets.




- Identify and resolve data inconsistencies, topology errors, duplicate records, missing attributes, and geometry issues.
- Work with PODS databases and ensure pipeline data complies with defined data standards.
- Support integration of GIS pipeline data with enterprise asset management, engineering, and pipeline integrity systems.
- Perform data conversion and migration between GIS platforms and databases.
- Develop and maintain GIS maps, layouts, reports, and data products.
- Support pipeline data updates resulting from construction, maintenance, inspection, and engineering activities.
- Perform data reconciliation between GIS, PODS, engineering drawings, and other source systems.
- Support data quality audits and prepare data validation reports.
- Develop documentation, data standards, procedures, and GIS workflows.
- Work closely with pipeline engineers, GIS analysts, data management teams, and business stakeholders.
- Participate in GIS implementation, migration, enhancement, and production support activities.
